Hosting an Event at
the Community House
Experience the quiet ambience and charm of our historic building in the picturesque equestrian town of Hamilton, Massachusetts. Located 3 miles off of Route 128, thirty minutes north of Boston, and 15 minutes from the Atlantic Ocean, we are the ideal setting for formal and informal functions. Our building is open year round and is fully air conditioned and handicap accessible.
~ Designed in the style of a 1920s ballroom, has wonderful architectural details, stage with grand piano, and opens into the Library. The Main Hall accommodates 120 guests for seated dining or 160 guests for a cocktail or audience reception.
~ An intimate, oak-paneled room with working fireplace. The library is furnished with Mandell family pieces. The Library comfortably accepts 20 guests for seated dining and 30 guests for a cocktail reception.
~ Located on the lower level, this room was once a four lane bowling alley. Today it is a bright modern space with skylights, kitchenette, and access to a city garden. Games tables can be provided for your guests’ entertainment as well as a flat screen television.
~ A caterer's dream! Our commercial kitchen hosts a commercial sized refrigerator, freezer, stove with oven, convection industrial dishwasher, and ample counter space for food preparation. You may choose your own licensed and insured caterer or choose from one of our recommended vendors.
Parking is available in three lots.
Tables and chairs are included free of charge for all rentals.
The baby grand piano, movie screen, small sound system, television with DVD player, and stage lighting can be contracted for use.
