Program Assistant – Sk8 Rye and Ski
Bradford Programs
Part-Time, up to 6 hours/week
Primary Responsibilities:
- Transportation: Provide transportation for 13 children, along with another staff member,
to Rye Airfield's indoor skate park for 8 week sessions (1:30pm-7pm, Fall
and Spring).
- Safety:
Set guidelines and standards conducive to creating a respectful and safe
environment.
- In the event of an
injury, coordinate appropriate treatment: First aid professional,
emergency room, and notify parent and supervisor.
- Supervision and
Interaction: Supervise program
participants and initiate proper consequences when necessary.
- Engage:
Engage and interact with the children during program.
- Record Keeping:
Maintain attendance and timesheets.
- Team Work:
Work cooperatively and effectively as a team member by communicating and
contributing information on a continuous basis.
- Professionalism:
Demonstrate behavior that is professional, ethical, and responsible.
- Communication: Maintain open
communication with parents of program participants.
- Report any behavioral
issues or problems during program to supervisor immediately.
Requirements
- Experience working
with children and/or teens.
- Self-starting,
motivated persons preferred.
- Must be at least 18
years of age.
