Rental Information


The Community House is a charming, historic building located in a traditional, New England community on the North Shore of Massachusetts. Located 3 miles off of Route 128, thirty minutes north of Boston, and 15 minutes from the Atlantic Ocean, our quaint community center, is the ideal setting for formal and informal functions. Our facility can be rented by the public.  You do not need to be a Hamilton-Wenham resident or member to host an event at the Community House.

Our Main Hall, a charming room with beautiful, original hard wood floors and a new baby grand piano, comfortably accommodates up to 100-120 guests for a sit down function, or 160 for a cocktail or audience style event. The hall reflect the tastes and styles of a 1920's ballroom and is the perfect setting for events of all kinds: a romantic wedding,  bridal or baby shower, anniversary and birthday party, bar mitzvah, non-profit fundraiser, concerts, and more. 

Adjoining to the Main Hall, with a beautiful wood-burning fireplace and elaborate woodworking, our library is the most intimate space in the building.  Because of its relaxing, yet, stately atmosphere, it is perfect for all rentals ranging from a formal cocktail lounge to a small business seminar. The Library may be rented separately, and is included with all Main Hall rentals. 

Our Conference Room seats up to 80, and is a perfect find for your next seminar. You won't find fluorescent lights here! Soft, adjustable lighting (along with skylights) will help you establish the perfect amount of light you need for a productive workshop or meeting. Complete with a LCD projector, screen, flip chart easels, podium, table and chairs, we can fulfill all our training or meeting needs.

Combined with a new, commercial kitchen, we are a caterer's dream! Our kitchen hosts a commercial sized refrigerator, freezer, stove with oven, convection industrial dishwasher, and ample counter space for food preparation. You may choose your own licensed and insured caterer and bar service or choose from one of our recommended vendors.

All rentals include the set-up and use of our 60" round, 8' , and 4' rectangular banquet tables and chairs. You may also contract use of the baby grand piano, movie screen, LCD projector, television with DVD player, and stage lighting. Lastly, we would like you to return to your home or hotel care-free; therefore, as part of your rental, we provide the post-function cleaning and breakdown service.
