The day to day operation of the Community House is under
the direction of the Executive Director and her staff.
The Community House of Hamilton & Wenham is a non-profit
organization which sponsors cultural, social, educational and recreational
programs. In 1921 such offerings included a special men's smoking room and
canning classes for women. Nowadays, offerings include a variety of family
and children's programs, activities for seniors, community events and space
for gatherings of all types.
The Community House of Hamilton & Wenham has hosted activities for
all ages for more than 80 years, while serving citizens of Hamilton and
Wenham. Many residents have fond memories of the Friday Night Movies, scout
meetings, bowling, dances and more at the Community House.
At present we are host to activities for families and children, trips and
programs for senior citizens, our own Red Hat group, the Special Friends and
the many community organizations who meet here regularly. Our lovely Main
Hall and President's Library are the perfect location for an intimate
wedding reception, anniversary, special birthday celebration of business
function.
