About Us

The Community House of Hamilton & Wenham is a non-profit organization which sponsors cultural, social, educational and recreational programs. In 1921, such offerings included a special men's smoking room and canning classes for women. Nowadays, offerings include a variety of family and children's programs, activities for seniors, community events and space for gatherings of all types.

The Community House of Hamilton & Wenham has hosted activities for all ages for more than 80 years, while serving citizens of Hamilton and Wenham. Many residents have fond memories of the Friday Night Movies, scout meetings, bowling, dances and more at the Community House.

At present we are host to many programs and activities for families and children, programs for Adults and Seniors, our Special Friends and the many community organizations who meet here regularly. Our lovely Main Hall and President's Library are the perfect location for an intimate wedding reception, anniversary, special birthday celebration of business function. The purpose of this organization shall be to;

1. promote community enrichment and spirit through the sponsorship of community activities, programs and events structured to involve citizens of all ages;

2. provide facilities for gatherings of social, educational, service, religious or recreational purposes; and

3. preserve the spirit in which the building was originally given, to honor those who have served our country in the armed forces.
